Who's behind Realis

I'm Carmen Gerea — consultant, researcher and coach in digital strategy.
I wear those hats to help brands grow through content, design, technology and data. I've been doing that for 23 years, across the corporate world, consulting and teaching.
Romanian by origin, I trained professionally in France, Canada and Chile — where I've been based for 14 years. I speak 4 languages. I'm currently a candidate for a PhD in Engineering (Human–Computer Interaction) at Universidad Católica de Chile.
I love helping digital professionals and entrepreneurs turn ideas into successful, sustainable businesses — sharing practical knowledge, strategy and a science-based perspective for leading in the digital world. I also promote an active, balanced life through sport as a source of energy, creativity and well-being.
I cultivate entrepreneurial discipline. I'm a big believer in discipline as the engine of creativity — for building things, both professionally and personally.
Why Realis exists
Realis sits at the intersection of several problems I kept running into:
- my own difficulty finding the right venues for in-person professional gatherings,
- the lack of visibility of incredible venues that sit empty,
- the need distributed teams and remote professionals have to see each other in person.
